Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties raised nearly $10,000 in partnership with The Sunshine Kids, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, at its inaugural golf tournament in Scottsdale.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting The Sunshine Kids, all proceeds will be directed to assist children in Arizona, who are battling cancer, through experiences, including trips and group activities.
“Every child deserves a chance to experience the joys of childhood, regardless of the challenges they may be facing,” Troy Reierson, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada, Arizona and California Properties CEO, shared in a press release.
According to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 43 children across North America are diagnosed with cancer every day. With the support of more than 45 agents and community members, nearly $10,000 was collectively raised at the golf tournament to contribute to The Sunshine Kids’ mission of aiding children and their families during challenging times.
Committed to brightening the lives of children in their battle against cancer, The Sunshine Kids offers cost-free, year-round programs. With a footprint extending across North America, these initiatives have touched the lives of more than 41,500 children and their families.
The organization creates an environment where children can enjoy life despite the challenges they face.
“We’re already in the early stages of planning next year’s event and our goal is to double, or perhaps even triple our impact,” Veronica Hanna, branch manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties’ North Scottsdale office, stated.
