Berkshire Hathaway Becomes Largest Real Estate Firm In Desert Mountain

Four successful Desert Mountain sales executives join the company

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (October 17, 2014) Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties is now the leading real estate firm in Scottsdale’s exclusive Desert Mountain golf community. With the addition of four leading Desert Mountain sales executives, the firm now has more sales volume in the community than any other real estate firm in Arizona. Anne Morrissey, Bee Francis, Karen Baldwin and Kathleen Benoit recently joined the firm with their team “The Power of 4.”
“Our North Scottsdale/Carefree office now has 18 real estate sales executives that specialize in Desert Mountain,” said Shirley Small, branch manager for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties. “Nearly all of these executives are both residents and members of Desert Mountain, so they have an inside perspective on this beautiful community.”
Desert Mountain is an 8,100-acre community that is planned to include 2,665 homes at build-out. Its home elevations range from approximately 2,580 to 4,800 feet above sea level with areas that contain mountains, wildlife, and lush high Sonoran desert vegetation. At the northern boundary of the development lies the Tonto National Forest, the second largest national forest in the United States, affording miles of wilderness for hiking and horseback riding. More than 2,000 acres of the more mountainous portions of Desert Mountain are restricted to remain in their natural conditions.
“The community has six Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses and has been named by Robb Report as one of Arizona’s best communities,” said Small. “Our average sale price for a home in Desert Mountain is $1.6 million, and they are among its most beautiful estates.”
The firm’s newest Desert Mountain team is the top-selling sales team in the community. “Combined, they sold nearly $76 million in Desert Mountain real estate in the past 12 months,” said Gordon Miles, president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties. “They all have stellar reputations for their representation of both buyers and sellers in Desert Mountain and we look forward to their continued success utilizing the Berkshire Hathaway brand to best represent their clients.”
Combined, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties sales executives sold more than $120 million in Desert Mountain real estate in the past 12 months. “The Berkshire Hathaway brand is one of the most respected brands in the world,” said Miles. “Our values and resources are unparalleled when it comes to representing luxury real estate properties throughout Arizona. We are thrilled to have Desert Mountain’s top-selling executives join our team, which will further our position as the leader in Arizona’s luxury real estate.”
